Las Vegas / Founding-client offer

Investigate the problem before building the solution.

For owner-operated businesses with an awkward recurring problem that falls between technology, operations, and customer experience - and does not fit neatly into an off-the-shelf product.

01 / Repeat

A workaround became the process.

Paper, spreadsheets, repeated checking, duplicated entry, or a handoff that depends on one person remembering.

02 / Miss

Something is noticed too late.

A customer disappears, a condition changes, an inquiry stalls, or useful information never reaches the person who can act.

03 / Unclear

An idea may not deserve a build.

You can imagine an app, device, automation, or customer experience - but do not yet know whether it would be used.

Business Friction Scan

A decision, not a software pitch.

We examine one concrete, recurring problem and determine the smallest sensible response. The recommendation may be a process change, an existing product, a small prototype, or no build at all.

  • One 60-minute working conversation
  • A one-page map of what happens now
  • The likely constraint and the people or systems involved
  • Three practical response options
  • One recommended next test with cost, time, risk, and success measure
  • An explicit “do not build this” recommendation when appropriate
$250

Founding rate for the first three Las Vegas businesses. Paid after a free 15-minute fit call and before the working session.

What this is for

A specific problem that has happened recently, affects customers or staff, and carries a meaningful cost in time, money, frustration, risk, or missed opportunity. It can involve a physical environment, a paper process, disconnected tools, customer communication, or an unusual idea that needs testing.

What this is not

It is not emergency technical support, consumer computer repair, managed IT, a security or safety certification, a free custom design, or a finished application. Implementation is quoted separately only after the problem, users, approver, and success measure are clear.

Why the scan comes first

A technically successful system can still go unused when the real users, decision-makers, or adoption barriers were never identified. The scan exists to expose those issues before money and time disappear into a build.

Who is behind it

Jeff Przybylski brings more than 30 years of technical support, coding, systems thinking, and rapid problem-solving to unfamiliar business situations. Usefully Strange combines practical investigation with the ability to prototype across software, messaging, physical environments, and customer experiences when the evidence supports it.

Related Usefully Strange services

The scan is the starting point when the right response is unclear. These narrower services are available when the desired outcome is already defined.

Describe one real example. This is a fit request, not a commitment to purchase. If the problem is not appropriate for the paid scan, I will say so.
